Post code problem?

Hi,
I live in a 150 year old farmhouse in the middle of nowhere, it has its own postcode. There are a few business units there also, converted barns, that come under the same postcode. It seems no insurance company has my house on file, they have all the business units though. I have a nightmare when insurance companies ask for the postcode since my house doesn't show up on their databases and they get all confused, and I'm sure it's pushing up my premiums. It's also impossible for me to get an online quote! Can anyone in the business advise me of who to contact to get my house listed (post office?) and if it will make any difference to my premiums?
Cheers,
Steve.

Steve,
this is a bit of a long term plan, but get everyone you know who is a careful driver of a safe, low risk car, to claim to reside at your unique post code. Thus you become the safest area in the country, and can then insure your scoob for threepence!

I hadn't considered that But in the short term I want my place listed so I can get some reliable quotes, I'm 29 and 1yr NCD and paying £1650 fully comp which seems a bit high to me - and it was the cheapest at the time (Direct Line).

Including the 1000 acres it's worth around the £20 million mark. Unfortunately I don't own it (and never will) so I'll have to decline your gracious offer
