Have had to make a claim - what to do next?

I've just had to make a claim, but don't know what to do (the verdict could go either way at the moment).
The Scoob's off the road at the moment. Insurance is due the end of August. As is tax & MOT.
As my premium is bound to go up, when do I take out the new premium? when it's due, or when the car's back on the road (about 6 weeks time)
