Someone who is normally quite reliable has told me it is possible to tranfer no claims bonuses between people. I share a policy with my girlfriend (main driver) who has 1 yr NCB whereas I as the named driver have 5 yrs NCB. Is there anyway we can transfer some of mine to her??
It sounds a bit fishy to me but I really don't know.
Cheers

As far as I am aware it is not possible to pass "part" of a No Claims Discount (NCD) onto someone else.
It is however possible to "relinquish" an NCD to a spouse/partner...however that wouyld been that you were left with nothing.
A few companies will match the NCD of a partner...however this only really applies where driving is restricted to just those 2 people...
There are alsorts of different options...however I guess the one you mentioned is not the norm....
...I certainly have never come across that before.
Any probs....give either John or myself a ring during office hours on 0113 250 0377 and we'll try to explain a bit better
