DAC,

I opted for a UK Sport, due in part to the insurance costs (I'm 24, 4 yrs NCD = £600). This is compared to a WRX Type RA Import ('94) which I was quoted in excess of £5k for!

Whatever car you go for, ensure it is a UK machine, as the insurance quotes will be a lot cheaper. For comparison, I was quoted £800 for a '97 UK Turbo, which ain't bad...

welcome to scoobynet.

if you want easy insurance its gotta be a nice little justy m8

if you want a decent car and reasonable then aim for a standard uk turbo.

you're age is in your favour and with full ncb you should do ok. well as ok as you can do these days with insurance.

an import is gonna be more xpensive - ring around is the only real answer so you get a quote exactly for you and your circumstances.

i'm just renewing my MY00, totally standard UK car for £800, incl the better half, full protected NCB anbd business use.

i'm 32, 1 accident (not my fault) and 1 speeding fine, she's 26 no accidents etc.

cheers

steve

DAC,

Welcome to the weird and wacky world of Scoobynet.

I'm 25 with 6 points and 4 years no claims and I bought a 95 UK Turbo in February. After ringing around all the insurance companies in the back of Max Power I decided to cancel with Admiral and go with Lancaster. £750.00 fully comp and you get RAC cover, 3rd party cover and European driving cover.

Hope this helps.

Happy driving.

Maffa
