Just got 2 quotes for MY97 Turbo 5 door.
Excess 400 - only sdp & commuting, 3 yrs NCB and no claims or convictions.
Wait for it ---- £426 and £397 from RAC and Norwich Union. Others were all silly money from £700 upwards.
Just about to bite their hands off.

Don't worry about offending me. Had a thick skin but now I'm so old it's thin.
I do live nearly in the middle of nowhere - Highlands and am 43. Think they must feel sorry for me. Car garaged, That2 immob but no tracker or alarm.
What annoys me is that this is £80 less than I paid for my last car - Mazda MX6 2.5GT.
Got the confirmation in the post this morning of the £426 quote.
Ho Hum - Can afford new wheels now!!
