Just renewed my insurance (with AXA), via my local cornershop broker as it was the cheapest by far, as usual.(Wilsons Brokers, Derby 01332-572580)

37 Insured Only, Derby,protected full NCB, MY96 5 Door with Magnex BB & 16" MY99 wheels & Kenwood 6CD etc. declared £803.
(Renewal quote without mods was £745)

Tried Bell Direct/Adrian Flux/Quoteline/Norwich Union, plus a few others who would not even go beyond the 'modified' point.

Interestingly the much praised Adrian Flux were not interested in a 'modified' Impreza with quotes already recieved around £800-£850, they reckon only Norwich Union would quote and that would be much more! (Norwich Union online will not accept mods)

Thumbs up

Chris,

I didn't find Flux too good either. Im with privelege and although they do charge a bit for mods, they let you do a fair bit. My standard quote was £920 MY96, im 22 3 yr ncb. I added the full magnex and a set of 17" mims and now paying £160 more. Which I don't think is too bad considering my age. Worth giving them a try, as like you say, not many places like mods...
