Not so legal mods

Not so legal mods
What should I do about illegal Mods. My windows are tinted more than 30% and I have a decat. I know the windows would be seen instantly following an accident (God forbid) so insurance may not cough up. If they wont pay out for that reason then whats the point in declaring legal mods such as downpipe, filter and prodrive back box. Also do I need to declare knocklink, some muppet inspector might think its power enhancing.
Advice please. Nothing devclared at the moment but policy runs out on sunday

Yup thats what I've done. Went with Aplan and very happy, Admiral demanded Tint test certificate and I coundn't be bothered. Aplan say no problem for other mods either. Now feel quite relaxed as I am genuinly insured. Best keep away from the road side emmissions testing though

Not correct... if you have front tints they are illegal... the fact you have simply declared tints asumes you are within the law... if you have an accident then they are quite within there right not to pay out... you takes the chance... The people on the phone are not the underwriters they have no idea... don't forget that...
