When looking for insurance does it make a difference if you have previously owned a high performance car ?
I previously owned a Toyota Mr2. When I was looking for insurance for my new MY04 WRX, quite a few companies asked what my previous car was.
Should your premium go down in the second year considering you have owned a high performance car, hopefully, without any claims ?

Yes, I have been asked about this when asking for a quote through a broker, it helps their case when persuading the underwriter if they think you'll be an acceptable risk.

i got asked by loads of companies when hunting for insurers!
my old car was not classed as one unfortunately as it was a clio, even tho it had 205bhp/ton and was as quick as my 280bhp scooby doo once moving!
