anyone got their type R insured with these companies, or any of their subsidiaries?

Been getting good quotes from them, but for an STi (import)....they have said that this will cover my car...but just want to make sure

anyone else got their car insured under this?

Had my old V5 Type R insured with them and transfered my policy to my new UK WRX.
Never had any problems with them or their service

Admiral told me that the Type-R is not listed on their computer so I would have to insure it as a normal STI and they would put a not that it was a 2 door! Is this ok?

That is what I was going to ask them to do....
Insure it as a WRX Sti Import 2L and get them to write a covering letter saying it was a 2dr one
