Default Type 25 - where can it be insured?

Hello there,

Looking at buying a Type 25 Impreza (Jap STI with 2.5 litre engine and various other mods).

Anyone have any ideas as to where I can get insurance for this?

I've tried the mainstream(!) insurers and some companies who allegedly specialise (e.g. Adrian Flux) in modified performance cars all to no avail.

I'm not looking for general advice but specific references to companies who can help. Ideally a current Type 25 owner would be perfect.

Any help much appreciated,

Regards,

Andrew.

Have you tried asking the Type 25's creators - www.litimports.co.uk?

Alternatively, this may help - http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=348350

Thanks fella. Actually ended up going through Tescos based on what was said in the thread you referenced. By explaining that the modifications were being done through the importer the total was £1320.

Saved me £600-£700 on previous quotes which can be spent on the Type 25 extras

Thanks for the help,

Andrew
