Quote me happy !
Well, just back from an 800 round mile trip to pick up my latest toy, an MR2 turbo.
Before I left I phoned my insurance company for a quote...
I am 26 with 4 years ncb and a clean license
I currently own an MY93 jap import WRX which I am paying £800ish a year fully comp for (£70 odd a month)
Anyway they guy at norwich union said as the mr2 turbo was a 91 they couldnt take out a new policy so they would need to transfer the subaru policy across and take out a new one for the subaru
Anyway to cut the long story shot, the MR2 insurance ended up being about £534 a year full comp with 4 years protected nc
The wrx new policy, they gave me another 4 years introductory bonus and that policy came out at £565
So I was previously paying £70 odd a month for just the impreza
Now my policy is £47.30 for the mr2 and £51.12 for the wrx
needless to say I am keeping both cars....

Sounds like a winner, I'm with the quote me happy chaps, stiffed me for £750 for the WRX, then another £150 for fitting Eibachs, then another £100 odd for an exhaust change...

I have always found NU expensive but good to hear someone can get a good quote outta them.
BTW I had two claims this year and lost 40% of my no claims.
My insurance has gone up quite a bit, did a ring around, contacted 11 companies (slow day) and Adrian Flux beat Tescos (who i am with) by £ 20.00.
NU quoted £ 1482 (most expensive)
Tesco £ 890.00
AF £ 870.00
Glad i did the comparison but stayed with tesco
