I drive HGVs for a living, so does this go against me when getting quoted for insurancce, I have been told I will be classed has high risk. If so my contract at work does not log me as a HGV driver, only a Gavanizing Operative, so would I be able to state that Im a factory worker.

Car Insurance - HGV Drivers
Hi
From my experience you shouldn't be charged any extra for most cars and in fact a fair few insurance will charge less for full time drivers like yourself. They know that you have passed a higher hgv test and that after driving 2000 kms per week at precisely 90 kph you won't have the time or the energy to drive mega miles in your own car.Try :-

If it's for a scooby then liverpool victoria don't even ask your occupation so give them a punt.
