Default Ouch!!

Hopefully getting a UK Turbo by the weekend. Ive been getting quotes for days and its an absolute nightmare!
I'm 21 with 3 years NCB, currently drive a Lexus IS200 (boring i know!) and pay £900'ish FC.
Im insured with Directline who wont even quote me on a Scooby until im 25
Tesco's wont quote me until im 23
Admiral quoted me £4.5k FC
Elephant quoted me £3.5k or £3.8k with mods declared.
Ive rang what must be every insurance company known to man, and only 2 would give me a quote.

So i'm going with Elephant - £3.8k
I must admit i think im stupid myself, but im bored of the Lexus and cant wait to step up to a Scooby

Had a classic at 18, insurance was about 5k, got it down to 3.5.

Now 24, with an 02 STi.

£1,200 Tesco.

I'd rather go without than pay 3.5 K ! Or buy a nice little sensible car
