21 Years old.. best model and age to go for?
21
2 years no claims, insurance quoted on a civic type R came out as 950
but would like a scooby but wondering what model i should be looking for, like the classic shape but know an STI would be too much...
standard UK wrx or turbo 2000 better?
also, what companies should i be trying?
thanks for help in advance ANT

Not all WRX's are imports, from 2001 they changed the name of the Turbo to WRX, but thats quite petty
Best one to go for?
An unmodified one!
Someone like Tesco's will be your best bet, they will heavily laden your insurance though due to the car being an STi and a JDM import so be warned!
Also note that STi's along with all scoobs need very regular servicing, 7.5k or 6 months, and you need to do some homework on the prices that your going to have to fork out (some of the services could cost you 600 quid!)
Uk cars are pretty quick, the civic type R you have quoted on will be of similar performance to an unmodified UK turbo (197bhp v 208 or 215bhp depending on year) the advantage is 4 doors v 2 doors.
There are also differences in fuel to consider when/if looking for a JDM car, uk cars will run ok on unleaded, they much prefer super unleaded/optimax, JDM cars will need super unleaded/optimax AND octane booster to run at their quoted 100 ron fuel rating, failure to do so will lead in mechanical failure and one big bill
