JUst got a quote from Direct Line, £440. Not too bad, I think you would agree.
Then I phoned Norwich Onion who's renewal was £630 and the nice man in India came down to, £580,sorry not "Happy", then he said £540, sorry not even smileing yet, £480 was his next quote, I told him I was very unhappy and wished him a good evening and put the phone down.
What a bl##dy cheek, they would have took £630 off me and one phone [which took 20 minutes cos I could'nt understand the nice man ] and they dropped £150

Yes, did an online quote.

Strangely a WR1 is listed as a 2dr ??

If I wanted to protect my no claims it went up to £667.80 ????

I'm currently with Tesco for my WRX 01 £433.65.

£655 for a 22B
£637 for a P1

Not sure, the website just says the following
  • CATEGORY 1 REMOTE ALARM / IMMOBILISER
  • RAC TRACKSTAR SATELLITE SECURITY INC. 1 YEAR'S FREE SUBSCRIPTION
  • REMOTE CENTRAL LOCKING WITH DEADLOCKS AND KEYLESS ENTRY
  • SECURITY WINDOW ETCHING
Forgot they had trackers as standard, I just put down a Tracker Monitor on the quote form. Tesco's obviously don't realise it's fitted as standard, or maybe they want you to fit two, just in case.

Does that lower your quote then? I put commuting on my application form, but I walk to work (<5 mins ). I just put it on the form in case I took the car one day for some reason. Hmm.

Heh, er, OK Mr. Bond.

If I get my quote revised for SD&P only, what happens if I need to use the car one morning before going to work, say, and then decide to carry straight on in without dropping the car off at home - will I be driving while uninsured at that point?

Wannabe, I think that is a question for your insurance company. I told my insurance that I work offshore so they have insured the car for pleasure use only.
