Cool Elephant RFLMAO

Well its that time of year when Abdabz goes quotetastic.

Before I begin sharing my journey, I'm 29, 8 years protected no claims, 1 previous claim in last 3 years, its kept on the street, discloch, immob and rax trackstar etc etc...No points blah blah blah. Car is MY99 Turbo.

So far I have got the following:

Elephant £ 2258
Churchill £ 1273
Liverpool Vic £745
More Than - wont insure me - NOW THATS LUCKY
Norwich Union £ 1141 - nope not quoted happy
Am waiting on Adrian Flux

Any others? Currently with Direct Line but they smell of poo.

Try Hill House Hammond 01733 310899. I had a reasonable quote from them, they're underwritten by NU who wouldn't quote me for modded import

bizarre..... fresh from getting cover for my 04 STI type UK.

Elephant: £730
Direct Line: £1290
Subaru Insured: £1490

I'm 31, one year NCB, accident 04/02, own fault, £1000 claim, clean licence, lowest risk theft area in UK.

Looks like Elephant are "cherry-picking".

John are you with them mate - presumably all mods declared? If its working for you then it'll do for me - Cheers.
Always thought HHH were just brokers - if not then I'll try them for sure...
As for Elephant - its weird - my younger brother just insured his Astra SRI turbs with them as they were by far the cheapest - I even went back through my quote in case I'd put a tick in the wrong gender box or something.......<waits for the floodgates to open>.. :O

Abdabz, you could try Tesco as well seeing as you already have a tracker fitted. The cheapest I found were Elephant and Tesco, Liv Vic wouldn't insure us because Scoobess is under 25.

However, Liv Vic are great, I don't think you'll beat their quote. Plus they are mod friendly, don't care about trackers, don't care where you park it and offer track day cover.

Norwich Union couldn't quote me happy either, I wanted to feign sobbing and tears over the phone but I couldn't have cared less about their poxy quote.

Default Hill House Hammond are no more

Hill House Hammond have been taken over by Norwich union direct who sent me a letter telling me the "good news about my insurance" that I could now get get £50 cash back if I accepted their quote when my currect deal runs out at the end of the month.

Even with the £50 they are over a £100 dearer.

Quote me happy - my ****.
