tesco's sdont talk to me about them ********* people.
i had insurance wiv them for past 11 months. changed policy to a 205 that i bought caus wanted to save for a respray and make scoob as good as new.
205 just blown head gasket so need the scoob going bak on ins and pay the extra for a week whike pug gets fixd.
they now said wont cover me. im 25, 4 yrs protectd no claims. what they playing at? they said i need to be wiv them atleast 2 yrs for renewal quote otherwise wont touch me.
they charge a fortune and now wont even take your money. we cant win.

For my sins I'm insured through Bell Direct. <sales_pitch>Always curtious on the phone, quick with documents</sales_pitch> and always ready to take more money for upgrades 'n mods.
They were the cheapest insurers I found for me: 27yrs old, 5yrs NCB, MY03 STi Type UK (+Prodrive springs, +18"FF7's), 12k annual, fully comp ~ £1000
Most other insurers either wouldn't touch it or wanted silly money (£3k+)
Can't comment on their claims handling etc. but then I don't intend using that particular part of the service if it can be avoided

Yay...I just insured with Bell direct.
Almost halved my previous premium (with norwich union direct). And I get to talk to a UK person when I phone Bell.
Seems OK so far.

AFAIK you have to phone them (0870 549 2000).
I'm currently insured with them, and for old people like me they are very competative with un-modified cars. But once you start adding mods the price rises VERY quickly - so I'll be moving to RLV. They are perfectly happy to insure imports as well, with the same mods provisos.

found it - www.belldirect.co.uk - i've just had these quotes
tesco (tracker req) - £732.90
Bell - £1013
Admiral - £974.40
these were the cheapest i could find. Question though - do i have a tracker (not confident after reading recent posts about them) and go with tesco or go with Admiral without tracker and save about £150?
