mods - are they worth it.
Hi there all, just joined and need your help.
Finally got the cash for a brand new WRX saloon and have spec,d it with a PPP,Spring Kit and STi rear spoiler.
Tesco and Subaru insurance both want £1000 to insure fully comp.Really don,t want to pay that.Tesco will do a standard WRX for £645.
Any suggestions greatky appreciated. Am 41 with full ncb with 1 fault accident to declare. Who,s this LV i see people mentioning?

My advice would be to drive a PPP version with the spring kit and then drive a standard car and make up your own mind.........
Liverpool Victoria could be the answer, they dont tend to increase the premium for mods for people over 30yrs. Lots of people are happy with them.

mods is one thing, but dealer fitted and warranty approved parts really shouldn't give you a hike like that.
I think most of it is just down to ignorance at insurance companies, and not having the flexibility to deal with individual cases mean you get lumped in with 3rd party decat systems, ninja exhausts, saxo neons etc.
