renewed my insurance in january on my old car which was a moddifed saxo VTS (52 plate) with admiral insurance. im 24 with 4 years NCD and the my policy was £950 fully comp. fine i thought!!!

then i got offered a scooby at a really good price, so i pxed the saxo for the scooby! got on to admiral for a quote for change of car and they wanted an extra £1200 out of me on top of the £950 i had already payed!! making it £2150!!!!

so i looked around for cheaper quotes and, and TESCO quoted me £850 fully comp, complete with breakdown cover etc etc etc!!!!

so it worked out cheaper to cancel my policy with admiral which only ran for 2 months and start a fresh poicly with tesco!! and i only got £500 back from admiral cos i payed for it with one lump sum!! never again!!!

im with tesco aswell, 24 years old full no claims, plus protected my premium is £990.

Just be aware that your excess is £250 compulsory, whatever you put in for voluntary + as we are under 25, young persons premium of another £250.

Also, you will need a tracker if its not already fitted etc happy owning

Have you tried Norwich Union, I found them cheaper than tesco

This happened to my brother a few years ago with Admiral. He argued with them and faxed them the letter he got with the quote on it and got it for the cheeper price.
