anyone insure a spec c with L and V?
just got on the phone to them, they asked is it still a wrx sti import, to which i would say yes it is, with some differences...am i right?? they said ok it wont change, just same price insurance??

Yup im insured with L&V, they will cover you as an STi import even though they know it has afew differences (i described them and they passed them back to the underwriters who came back with the all clear). Will cost you the same as a UK sti with 265ps, all good fun isnt it? 
(ps they did put down about the engine oil cooler as an engine mod as no other new age impreza has one but didnt add anything to the insurance for it).

thx tony, they did tell me the same they charge me a little bit more than uk car i think though for my jdm sti. They did also say that they are not takin on anyone new and the only reason they will insure me is cos im a current customer..

Excuse me for bothering you but I am about to ditch my WR1 order and buy a 53 spec c and I understand you're the man! - they have quoted me £90 above my P1 thro privilege - is that about right ? circa £900. 37/full protected ncb 9 yrs/1 claim in last 3 yrs (£1200). Who services them ? I understand no UK dealer will. Anything I should look for ? done £4K. I understand the side skirts and front bumper are different to standard JDM sti ? Is the rear bumper the same ? Can you swap JDM equivalents over as I prefer the look of them ? I am told it is a "limited" but I have also been told all limiteds are red (this is blue).....about 4 months old, done 4/5K, has PPF 18" alloys, powerstation exhaust, stereo etc - wants £27K - is that the right ball park ?
Sorry to be a pain but any guidance you have would be very useful.
