update on 17yr old needing insurance!!
Would you believe that it's cheaper to go for fully comp, than it is for 3rd party on a 10yr old micra?
Well that's how it's worked out. Me as main driver and child as named, only £410.20 and that's for Liverpool!!
I went through whatcar.co.uk and got the quote from Liverpool Victoria, the company we are already with.

The way the Insurance company rates the premium is based on the type of risk which you have at present...a young driver on the policy with the cover at TPF+T/TPO. Based on current experience of this sort of policy, the company would have had a high level of claims from said policy. Meaning the rates increasing for thie type of risk. Therefore increasing any future rates past the comprehensive rate.
