I have read alot of threads about insurance lately and particularly about the euro imports being the same as uk cars and people complaining to the their insurance companies due to the premium being so high, so does anyone know where l and v stand in this case? whether they charge more for a euro sti8 than a uk one? if so is there some complaint you can make to someone to get it sorted, considering they are the same car ? or do they just not do imports? any info from people who know appreciated

to be honest they are a joke, over 2k quote, the only company i find worth dealing with are l and v, thats why i asked, as most big companies see jap imports and euro imports the same, such as
directline
tesco
elephant
cis
just to name a few, i see those as reasonable companies that alot of people use if they are running standard uk turbos or unmoded imports, depending on the state of peoples no claims bonus. There are also alot of people who seem to think its ok to mod away and then not declare who still using the same companies, however personally i choose to play it safe, so i went with l and v who allow you to mod and still dont void ur insurance or charge you silly amounts unlike tesco or directline, when you add a set of wheels ur premium goes up 300pounds per year!
anyway ill call l and v just out of interest now to find out where they stand on it all, would like some other input from someone with experience
