theres something odd going on with this company, i passed there number on to a mate who works with me, he has an STi4 TypeR, no probs, but they insist there is no match for an 4 door STiV, I wonder if they are after the uk model name & then declare its an import??? this is ****e treatment!!!

my quote (or none quote this year) was based on a UK MY02 wrx, maybe because i'm 28, have 8 years no claims and a tracker fitted they think i am a liability?

have a look on the quick quote page, it may be listed as
a "Turbo STI (Import)" and not under the "WRX STI(Import)"
but there is definately a 4 door STI listed on their quick quote page.
I rang for a quote last thursday, and they said there was no 4Door WRX STI listed for 1998, i've since noticed that its (probably) listed under "Turbo STI(import)4Door 1997-2099" since i've not heard of that "turbo" designation on an import - maybe im wrong, anyone for correction?
i will ring em again, before i go buy one though just to confirm.!
cheers

you know, LV are totaly daft, they insure most of the novas running around with phase kitted, calibra turbo engines, which is insane when the average age of the owner is about 18 years old
and these cars are 100 times more dangerous then a impreza imo
they have this rule where by the car is insured as its original shell with a small extra charge for engine mods, which means all the young lads go out and buy a 1.0 spin nova and stick a turbo LET engine in for next to nothing
and them nova turbos can SHIFT!

lv would not insure me on a jdm sti-9,
i was told they were not insuring jap imports anymore!
even though i got a quick quote on-line for a wrx sti(280bhp import) which should be not far off from the sti9 i thinks!

L+V youve got to laugh EH!
I got an online quote from them back in March. STI 5 Type R Ltd.
Next day on SCOOBYNET. somebody posts L+V don't do imports.
Back to their site .Sure enough had changed overnight.
So phoned them up. Didn;t have exact spec Scoob on list. But no probs to insure as WRX STI 5.
NO probs with Mods or security. Even got Guaranteed! no claims.
Over £1000 cheaper, than previous insurers quote(They had bumped me up for a speeding ticket!)
Anyways .Back on net to read things like "L+V Too good to be true"
"Check your cover. They don't do Type Rs"
Phoned L+V up again,to make sure they new what they were insuring.
"No problem Sir And my name is ******"
Think a lot of it's ,down to (a) Your age
(b) Were you stay
(c) Wether the telephonist can read the list.
They're Tops for me.
BTW. I know of a few folk that have claimed.(No Probs.)
P.S. I'M Well over 30....err 1/2 again.
