Why such high premiums - is it mods?
#1
Hi, just found this place so please be gentle!
I'm picking up my first subaru on the 1st, and was looking for insurance quotes. I got some scary ones (£1100+) before contacting direct line, who I'm with now for my BMW.
They quoted me £544 fully comp with the mrs. No huge excesses or anything, basically the same as my BMW cover. I'm 32, with full NCD
This is a standard WRX though. Are all the heavy quotes for mods etc, or is it generally tricky to get good quotes for Imprezas?

If you read enough of the threads on here you'll start to get an idea of why they are so expensive to insure
I've just got rid of my RB5. I'm 35, full NCD, no convictions and was paying £800. In your case £544 sounds like a bargain, particularly bearing in mind your proximity to Slough
