Cancelling policy after accident.
#1
If you have a claim pending on a policy and you try and cancel it (no longer needed), does it automatically mean that there will be no refund at all for the remainder of the policy?

All companies see accidents as guilty until proven innocent, you can cancel your policy now, but you will not be reimbursed for the remainder of the policy (minus any of their cancellation charges). When and if the policy is settled in your favour will you get a refund.

Skippy, sorry mate made an error in my previous post, I should of said, if the claim is settled in your favour and your company recover their outlay (non-fault), you will be entitled to a refund. If the claim is settled against you (fault) then no refund will be due.
