Hi All,

My g/f has made a claim on her insurance and I am interested in the claim cost and parts listed for the repair. Who should provide me with this info? Insurer or Repairer???

Hi Rich,

After my hit-n-run incident last month, the insurance company had a recommended panel-beater in my region to get the estimate. I decided to go with the firm that my local Subaru dealership used - as is my legal right. Before they sent the estimate to my insurers, they typed the estimate for labour and listed parts on headed letter paper and sent it straight to me. I would recommend getting the paperwork from the repairers over getting it from the insurance company (seeing as they'll only repeat what the repairers say!).

Unfortunately my car was written off :-(
