I am needing to insure my car on the track at the weekend but my insurance compnay will not cover.

Can anyone recommend a company that will cover me for just this track day (+others) I am having difficulty finding any.

Try greenlight insurance. They do it if you are with them. I think some tracks have their own insurance, but not sure if it is only for 3rd party only.

Egger Lawson (aka Competition Car Insurance) are the only people I know of who do single event cover. Though this post is a bit late for last weekend

Some track day organisers offer their own insurance, too, I believe.
