For my sins I am an Insurance agent! Better not tell you who!

You Guys need to use the high street Brokers when premiums go up, they should select the better/well known Companies and never go with a company you haven't heard of!

Appart from the car, your premiums are based on your age and alot depends on the postcode, as well as your no claims. Always tell them about speeding convictions and mods, otherwize it will give them a chance to squirm out of a claim!

Best of luck!

I am amazed at the time you all spend phoning around. If you call one or two big companies first this will give you an idea of the cost. Then let the brokers do the hard work!

I make not far off 100 calls a year at renewal time, and I have never had any broker beat / match the best price I have got, I wish it was different as I don't really enjoy hours on the phone repeating the same information.
But when I'm going to be spending between one and two grand on something I'm very unlikely to use (haven't until now and would only use it on any repairs costing more than five to six grand, which would mean a write-off) I prefer to be wasting as little money as I can.
If you think you are up to it, let me know and I'll give you a call next renewal time
