I'll be 25 next week. How much should I expect my insurance to go down on average???
Does it actually make any difference?

Insurance and down in the same sentence?

You may get a little bit off, but it will easily be swallowed up again by the years premium increase or any mods you have just done...

However, being over 25 gives you a bit more of a choice for insurance companies, so you may get the cost down that way...

...although if you are "just" 25 (within last 6 months) you might find that a lot of insurers either wont quote on a scoob, or that the quote is so high that you couldnt/wouldnt want to pay that much..

Im 25, and have been shopping around for quotes on a heavily modded scoob and Liverpool Victoria quoted me £1046!!!
I have 7yrs ncb, 1 fault claim (protected) and 1 sp60 and I live in Notts (high risk are so Im told).
Greenlight were the second lowest; £1480

good luck.

chrome, you SP60 does not help, I have one and when I called my broker he said it's the worst speeding offence to have on your licence, he said it would have been better to get a heavy fine and a ban for a few weeks. Most insurers will not cover you with an SP60 AFAIK

Red face

wwsc: my sp60 was for 70mph in a 60. !!
"Gunned" by hidden mobile camera and got an NIP and 3pts, £60 fine.

I did wonder at the code as apparently it is "unspecified speeding offence".

Sp30 would have been more appropriate according to insurance ppl.

**** knows why they gave me the sp60... the paperwork saved em from having to go and catch some real criminals..

Where did you get your info from??? The ppl I got scoob quotes from said it was no big deal..
