Unfortunately it isn't necessarily the case that you are being "ripped off"...(although you might indeed be...).

There are many things to consider...postcode, convictions, claims, no claims discount, whether married or single, how many drivers on the policy, what miles you will do during the year, is the car to be used for Business miles or just purely for pleasure, is it garaged and/or alarmed...or just parked on a drive...you also get discounts for older cars...is it brand new...or maybe a 1994 registered car? Experience is also taken into account with many of the insurers...if owners haven't driven a similar car before then a loading might apply...or if you have had similar cars then a discount may be applied...

Not meaning to rant on...but it isn't always as easy as saying "well if he only paid "x" amount...I must be getting ripped off cos I'm paying "x""....

You've just reminded me rum that mine is due with yourselves very soon, hope I'm not in for a big shock
Edited to say mine is £780 for a 93 WRX, 32 years old, full no claims, not a bad area, limited milage with a few mods

Down £184, I'm well happy. This is the first time in years that my insurance hasn't rocketed. Thanks again to Rum and Schofields for the great quotes and excellent service

Give them a ring everyone
