Question

I've always had a company car in the past so have no idea about car insurance

Anyway . . . . I've been with my insurer for about 9 months and have now sold my car. I will not be getting my new one for a couple of months. The question is: Can I cancel my insurance ? Will I get a penalty for not staying a full year ?

Sorry if its a silly question. Thanks

The answer was no, I will not incurr a penalty. I would, however, lose the 10 months of no claims earned so far.

Rather than cancel my poilicy I chose to suspend it, which allows me to keep paying for the remaining 2 months even though I don't own the car, thus earning my next years no claims Makes sense as I only have 1 years NC so far
