My partner is a named driver on my policy.. She rang the insurers (Priviledge) to get a courtesy car covered.. They rang me to check she was my partner and it was Ok to deal with her (data protection apparently). Guy went on to explain that she should be listed as partner on the insurance, not just a named driver and it would reduce the premium.. Got a £95 discount so worth doing...

Maybe just because she is quite a bit younger that we got the discount.. but might be worth a try fellas...
