I've just gone through Liverpool Victoria £1,400 for Business 1, parked on road with the wife insured as well. Not a bad price considering I only worte me last scoob off 2 weeks ago.

Won't do that again it hurts.

Insurance companies always ask if you've been living abroad, don't know why but it maybe a negative in premium terms.

Schofield are always worth a call(0113 250 0337. They understand Scoobs and provide good objective advice even if they dont get your business

Have a word with Tom Butler, he has run asuccession of Scoobs.

I have had a great experience with Privilege. About £1200 for my STi 7 Prodrive with full ncb, girlfriend covered etc and with a £21500 claim in my, fairly, recent history.

Had my first MY98 Turbo stolen (turned up 9 months later in bits) but Privilege paid out in full within 5 weeks with no arguments.

Could probably get a slightly cheaper quote elsewhere but prefer the piece of mind that if the sh*t hits the fan again I won't have to worry about my insurance company quibbling about the claim!

Thumbs up

Batch, give me a call tomorrow on 0114 2825824 and ask for Russ Stewart. I am Sales Manager for Norwich Union Direct and being fellow Scoob owner I might be able to sort something out for you.
When you call have the reg no. ready and remember that mileage is a big factor on insurance. The kind of details which will go against you are previous claims, modifications, where the car is kept and other drivers on the policy. Mileage goes up in brackets. >4000,>6000,>8000,>10000,>12000a nd above.Try and keep it low. Also is the car a uk spec? It will bring your premium down if you have another half who has clean licence and goes on policy. Splitting the risk you see. We are fairly good for standard Scoobs with mine costing me £400 fully comp with full prot ncd and the wife on too.
35 yr old.
Hope this helps
Russ

Privilege are good, they were the cheapest when I lived in south wales ~£1100, and I'm now paying £600 (with 4 additional drivers!)

Wink

Batch...

As above really ...lots of points to bring premiums down....garaging and tracking also assist...

Whether the car is a Jap or Type UK STI I might also be able to assist...however we do require these to be garaged and trackered (obviously the Type UK automatically has RAC Trackstar)...

Norwich Union and Groupama tend to be our major suppliers for these cars...

We are also able to assist with mods (if applicable)...

0113 250 0377

All the best

Tom
