TBH When I last looked at TPF&T for a car, it was a few hundred quid more than fully comp, may sound crazy but was true,
If its temp can you not add it to a current policy for a few days?

Hastings cocked it up,they put the wrong date on the temporary cover which meant the one for sale wouldnt be covered for ten days. When i spotted this they said their system wouldnt let them backdate the policy..

Hi Dave.
Seasons greetings.
Try 'Cuvva'. It's designed for short term car insurance cover for hours or days or a month.
It's available as an app for your phone. There's a bit of a set up process to get through but once set you can use it any time.
Only thing is, there may be a limit on the age of the car you can cover.

I don’t know if you can still get reasonable TPFT any longer. Where it’s quoted it always seems to be the same or more than fully comp.
I just don’t think that there’s any saving to be had.

As others have said, try it fully comp
Many companies don't quote for TPFT anymore, so you'd be limiting your options if you're just selecting that.
Tempcover or Insuredaily are the popular two. Can't your current insurer tag it into your current policy for a short period of time?

I asked them to for 28days but they got the date wrong instead of starting on the 1st they had it down to start on the 10th. When I checked the details they sent me I noticed the wrong date. When I asked they told me their system wouldn’t allow to move the start date back.
