2003 wrx double din
Guys,
New to forum and new to subarus. Just bought my first being a 03 wrx.
First thing I'am looking to do is replace the stock head unit with something a little more modern and with IPhone connection. Can you guys recommend any double dins that you have installed so I know what ones will actually fit.
Cheers,

Most Double DIN units should fit. I have got a JVC KW-AVX840 in my 2007 WRX...I believe the internal config is the same/very similar on our models, certainly the 2 DIN bay should be. Mine bolted straight in without the need for a cage, you may need to buy a £5-£10 ISO cable though.
The only thing which is a slight annoyance is my front detachable LCD unit, which is a bit of a faf to take off as you have to go into the software and click detach so it moves it into the right position to remove. You can just "click it off" but then its a bit pain to get back on (wont go into details why, but its due to the "snugness" of the face off in the double din space) Anyways, I generally just leave it in the car. You can get similar units that don't have a face off, which in retrospect would have suited me better.
