Default Alpine double din

Hi all
I have just purchased a alpine double din head unit. I have asked a few people about what to do with the parking brake wire as Iam limited to what I can do. I can't even change the clock. Some people have suggested earthing that wire but it doesn't work. Any help would be appreciated

Get your earth wire (Black Wire), find a section on the back of your head unit that has a screw to secure it and wire the black wire to it so it acts as your handbrake wire matey

I've got the w530bt and just had to do exactly the same.

I attached the parking brake wire to the screw which was mounting the head unit chassis to the car.
