dumb question II - the smell of ignorance

and again, just to waste myself further... i took the door panel off yesterday to take a look at the speakers, by some unimaginable miracle I did not botch this up!!!
anyway, is it a simple job to connect up a new speaker - as far as I can see there are just two wires coming from the top of the speaker - they even have a nifty little connector - surely it cannot be this simple?!?!

It is simple, but I would recommend replacing some of the wiring too.
You will need to add a crossover and a few bits of wire if you decide to go for component speakers (woofers and tweeters) but this is pretty simple.
