Default Double to single

Sorry if this has been covered a hundred times before. Looking at converting from double to single as the doubles are too expensive. Looking at the pocket from scoobyparts, £30, overpriced or ok? Will I need a seperate double din cage and mounting brackets for everything to fit or will this pocket below accommodate everything?

If its for a car between the years specified then you will have no problem fitting this. I recently changed my standard double for a single. Fairly simple really. You wont need an additional facial for the stereo and the cage should already come off the standard double. All you will need to do rather than doing any wiring get over to halfords they do a connector block for the car, use that to connect your new single stereo to loom.

Re: to the pocket make sure Scoobyparts sends you instructions as you have to drill through the existing cage on either side for the lungs of the pocket to slot in (basically that is what holds it it place). Then carefully push back all the casings around the console and away you go.

P.S. Depending on your stereo there are two screws on either side which will also need to be screwed in the cage to hold it. Sometimes the depth of the stereo can vary and you may need to screw new holes into the cage to align it all.

Hope that helps
