Okay, thanks to far too many stereo upgrades, I've got 2 Phase-Linear Alliante subs for sale. If you haven't heard of these subs, you've missed out!!! They're a flat-piston sub, so the face of the cone is flat (a nice clear honeycomb effect too, just for funkyness ) The drivers are about 3.5" deep, making them ideal for door, or parcel shelf, installations.

These are the 8" units, requiring a sealed enclosure size of 0.25 to 0.75 cu ft each. They can run free-air, but they sound much better in a cabinet. I've had them running in a flat enclosure on the parcel shelf of my old 406 and they sounded fantastic. (Enclosure size is so small the parcel shelf ended up similar thickness to the original cardboard one!) They punch very nicely, but don't give the very heavy bass. So, if you like the more melodic basslines or a tight drum note, you'll love 'em. If you like a bass drone that'll hurt your ear drums, you won't like 'em at all.

The units have seen about 4 months light use, I still have the original (wooden) boxes and instructions they came with. Retail was £180ish each, when I bought them. Offers around £150 for the pair would be nice. Unless you've got an Alpine PRA-H400 you fancy swapping for them....?

Too bloody right!

I'm now using a pair of PPI flat-piston 10's, or rather, I will be when I start the install in the Legacy!
I've also got a pair of Focal 5" long-throw subs coming along next week - figured they might go well in the rear doors... Just as an experiment, you understand

They're in absolutely perfect condition, with all boxes 'n everything. If you're interested, mail me an offer and we'll sort out how to get 'em to you (I'm on the South coast, but work in Berkshire, if that's any help?)

Hehe - sorry mate. Take the JL back - you'll be glad you did....!

I may also have a pair of Alpine DDDrive 6" components (the £400 version) available.... There's a crack in one of the driver cones, but it can be sealed with silicone sealant. Any interest?
