Handbrake Wiring for DVD Player
Just bought a JVC DVD CD Player on here. It needs a wire running to the handbrake for the screen to be used. Does this just get earthed when the handbrake is applied?

It is meant to wire to the handbrake so that when the car is moving the screen won't work for safety reasons. All I do is connect the handbrake wire to and any earth wire and jobs a goodun.

yeah, it's easy enough. I unscrewed the switch from the handbreak (makes access easier) and then stripped enough sheilding off the wire, about 1 1/2 cm. Undo the handbreak plug and the tang has a hole on it, i looped it through the hole and soldered it down then back in the car refit the plug. Fit back to the handbreak and job a good un!
