How to change the double din head unit on 2007 Hawkeye
I am thinking of changing my head unit to either a Alphine W203Ri or the JVC XR611, both are double din units.
My question is how easy is it to remove the existing standard double din head unit (the one with the tape & CD), does anyone have instructions or a tutorial with pics on removal and fitting of a new head unit.
Cheers

Pretty easy, managed to work out mine without some instructions...altho there is a guide floating about on the net somewhere ill try and find it for you.
From memory though, i had to pop out the drinks holder, where there is a screw behind....then removed the trim with the heater vents.... then i think there was some screws behind the heater dials (slightly different dials on a hawk tho), and prized off the entire stereo surround/fascia....leaving you with the 4 bolts that hold the unit in place.
Pretty easy to do DIY though, ill hunt down that guide...!

Top notch fella! I was just about to ask the same question.
Now all i need is a din bin cos I'm removing a double and fitting a single din Alpine id-x300. Any suggestions Please? I want one with a lid / sliding tray.
