Default will 6x9's fit?

in the parcel shelf of a classic impreza? Or do i need to mod?

You can fit them from underneath, you have to drill, obviously, for fixing bolts.

Mine sit ON TOP in home-made mdf adaptors, which I made using the speaker templates that came with them. The adpators are covered in proper cloth obtained from an ICE dealer, and bolted through the adaptor and parcel shelf using long M5 stainless cap-head screws.

Here you go:





the bright light on the first pic shows up the slight difference in colour between the rear parcel shelf and the ICE material, but the one from outside shows it's closer than it looks.

And yes, it's a UK car with a rear wash-wipe fitted

I installed mine from under the shelf, inside the boot. That way they are safely hidden under the crappy original grilles, but yes 6x9 will fit..
