No bass
Hi Guys,
I have added a 12" sub to my Bugeye estate, the enclosed sub has been used in two of my previous cars and gave a good punch, however, in the Scooby it has barely added anything. It is running off an aftermarket Kenwood HU and has an onboard amp. The Wagon has the retractable load cover.
Has anyone else had a similar problem? Is the lack of a shelf causing me a problem as it isnt sealing the boot as effectively?
Thanks for any help

did you use it with this head unit in previous car?
have you checked that the 'sub out' (subwoofer level control) is switched on and turned up?
the lack of shelf won't affect it, the competition lads don't have shelves fitted and their's are a bit loud
have a look on www.talkaudio.co.uk

Sorry Dave, forgotten I had started this thread, I knew that wasnt the answer, I was just clutching at straws. Is all sorted now, it stemmed from a dodgy earth, the amp was powering up well enough and the circuit was complete, then the earth was failing when a signal was played. A new earth was all that was needed.
