Ipod fitment to standard Type A audio set

Ipod fitment to standard Type A audio set
Is it possible to fit and ipod to the standard fit Stereo. GB270 Wagon with Type A audio set. I know probably best to change the head unit but I like to keep things standard.
Any help would be cool.
