Am in the process of installing a new HU into my MY07 WRX, found this post regarding the aerial...

Just thought I'd check before I blow up my HU - has anyone tried this trick with connecting up the blue wire? And do you just connect the wire straight onto the end of the aerial input to the HU? And if so, do you still connect up the aerial connector from the car to the same input on the HU?

Any help appreciated!!

ps. The main reason I was asking was coz on the back of the original stereo, there's a cylindrical jobby where the aerial was plugged in which looks a bit like an aerial amplifier, which made me think I'd have to go out and get another one. If I can avoid doing this, will be £15 happier :-D
