Hi,
lastweekend i fitted infinity 16.5cm speakers and seperate tweeters. All was well and they sounded very good untill lastnight the tweeters on both drivers and passangers side stoped working at the same time..... weird...

The speakers and tweeters are connected via the stock wiring.. im confused.....

Is there a stock crossover for the tweeters that may have died?

Did you fit the infinity crossovers?

No i didnt, I just used the wires for the old tweeters and the wires for the old speakers to drive the new ones.

you've blown both the tweeters then, if a speaker set comes with crossovers they must be used as like in your case you will break something, time to buy a new set.

That was going to be my next guess! The std subaru tweaters have Bass blockers (resistors) built in to protect them. When you fitted the Infinity items the tweeters were trying to reproduce the full range of sound.

hmm... *****... they were working for abouta week then both at exactly the same time went dead... would have thought if that was the case that they would have gone indipendant? you sure? can check tomorrow and see.. hopefullynot.. they sounded good :-( bugger lol...
