I see a few of you have these units in your car. I have read there is a setting to adjust the tilt angle of the screen. Where is it??? I have looked through the manual etc and there is no mention of it.

How do you get album artwork to show up when using a CD/DVD or USB?

Also has anyone updated the maps that can point me in the direction of the cheapest place to get them.

To adjust the screen follow these steps:

1) Touch setup in the bottom right corner
2) Touch the downward arrow of the middle left to scroll down a page
3) Touch the 3rd blue bar down in the middle of the screen (i think this is called screen setup but i cant remember)
4) Touch the little arrow not quite in the top right of the screen to move to the 2nd page
5) Hey presto you're there!

Album art i haven't managed to figure out but mine seems to do it automatically on some and not on others

I haven't updated the maps so have no idea where to point you BUT does it not say on the screem every so ofter about updating the maps? Mine does something like this every so often but i never read it as i'm usually on the move when it does it

the new map updates were available since november last year if i'm correct, about £80 i don't have it, i'm sure it was available at play.com

i'm guessing album art is on certain songs?
then that song have the art on it ,
i believe if you use itunes, right click song name,
get info.
artwork, add the picture, and save it "may" work

Cheers Chris-Boris. Found the adjustment screen.
Also found the serial number of the unit and dug out the USB connection that was tucked away behind the unit. So gonna update my firmware from 1.0.1 to the latest 1.0.9. and also update the navigation software from 2.3 to 2.8. I've put some music on a USB stick so I'll see if the album artwork shows up. I read that the artwork doesn't work on the CD/DVD. My job for tomorrow. LOL

Well it took 10 minutes to do to update firmware to 1.0.9 and navigation software to 2.80. Just need a USB stick and an SD card. Havent noticed any difference in the way things work but at least it's all up to date now.
Tried putting some music on a USB and some artwork shows up and some doesn't so I'll have to find the difference in whats tagged to the MP3's.
All thats left now is to find some cheap latest maps......

I have a Kenwood Ipod cable KV-301 connected to the USB port, how do you guys manage to update the maps? I don't want to pull the unit out to disconnect the cable from the back in order to do this.
I have seen it displaying "updating firmware" or something like this sometimes so I guess it does an automatic update via satellites?

Not updated the maps yet but I believe it is through the SD card slot behind the screen.

Hold down the eject button and the screen will drop lower than normal to reveal the SD Slot.

If anyone knows how to get the Map update for free/cheap please drop me a PM.
