Why does it have to be so hard to decide where to place amps?? show them or not show them?? I have an old style (grey) punch 200 and two of the newer style punch 100's black and silver... Thinking of Hiding 200 on back of the seat and showing the two 100's...

Ideas??

Well, you've seen what I've done - show the 200 and hide away the soundstream ref 604...

Practicalities directed me to take this approach.

So where do you hide amps in a wagon?

Mine is a wagon.... raise the floor... or mount them under the seats... behind trim panels that remove...

I would have to hide my soundstream.. as I dont have one!!

6.5" Rockfords Fanatic Q's are now in the front doors... courtesy of some spacers... (just trial fitting at the moment) Tweeters are surface mounted in the kick panels..

6.5" Rockford Fanatic P's are mounted onto 3/4" flooring chipboard, with hole cut with router... and bent metal bracket... to fit in factory ****e location on 94 5dr wagon I will seal this with silicone after car painted... (obviously I will leave to dry before mounting speaker as the fumes damage the cone of the speaker..)

Think I will hide the 200... (mount on the back of one of the seats...) and move the sub box forward slightly to give plenty of air round it... may consider fitting fans..

Wont be trimming the install straight away just to make sure...

Does anybody know if you can get acoustic carpet??

I want to put grills over the subs.... but dont want acoustic cloth over the grills as this will not match the rest of the boot (carpet)

You can get quite thick "acoustic cloth" from various suppliers, but as always, the thicker it is, the less acoustically transparent it is...

thought as much... may as well leave them on show... after all amps will be showing...
(mounting them on an angle either side of the sub box)
