AHHHHGGG!! some 1 please help

AHHHHGGG!! some 1 please help
got some 16cm front components. i used the spacers provided and after alot of titting about got them in the door.
went to put the door card back on and the clips wont hold the door card on as the speaker pokes out to far!! hour n half fannying about for nothing!! why cant they just bolt in ffs!!
its a 97 classic.. any ideas to get em to fit!??

I had a similar problem with my Legacy
First I just popped on as many clips that would stay in ( the ones opps the speaker and underneath etc)
Then whilst holding the door card tight against the door (on the speaker side )I drilled a couple of small 3mm holes throught the card (1 underneath and 1 to the left of the speaker)
I then used a small black self tapper to secure the door card on
You cant even notice the screws to be honest and its rock solid
