Question Radio Aerial Question

I am going to replace the stock headunit in my 06 blobeye sti soon, going for a single din unit with a pocket for the second din slot.

Im getting a pioneer headunit, do i need any special radio aerial adapter at all? for it to work properly

Thanks for any help

Was there not something to do with you having to connect the powered antenna wire to something as the original subaru one is powered.

I have never got round to researching this but I know when I changed to a sony unit the radio reception is crap, apparantly connecting this 'wire' solves it ??
